Global Forum on Competition 2024 and OECD Competition Committee meetings held in Paris

The OECD Global Forum on Competition and the meetings of the OECD Competition Committee were held in Paris from 2 – 6 December 2004. They brought together high-level officials from more than 100+ competition authorities worldwide. The Republic of Croatia, that has held a participant status since 2016, was represented by the president of the Competition Council Mirta Kapural, PhD, LLM, and Sandi Valentinc, MEcon, head of International and EU Cooperation Department.

 

In 2024 the Forum explored, among other topics, competition and inequality, cross-border mergers, competition in the food supply chain, competition and regulation in the care industry, use of structural presumptions in antitrust, standard and the burden of proof in competition cases, competition and democracy etc.

The Croatian Competition Agency submitted its written contribution and took part in the discussion on the subject of “Competition in the food supply chain”.
